What does it actually look like?

Recruiters divide candidates into groups, and each group is given a card with a situation.
For instance, you work as an events planner in a 5 star hotel. Today you are overseeing a large wedding for 200 guests, but facing challenges of a shortage of staff and a new chef in the restaurant.
As a group, you have 15 minutes to first decide who you will assist as a priority and provide reasons for your choice.
Secondly, provide suggestions on how you could still guarantee guest satisfaction for those whose needs are not immediately met.

1. The bride has ripped her dress has demanded that you help her fix this immediately.

2. A VIP guest wants to pay for each wedding guest to have a glass of vintage champagne🥂, but there is no vintage champagne left and stocks of the regular one are low.

3. The bridegroom tells you that there is a fight between guests from the 2 families and he needs your support.

4. The mother of the bride has slipped in the bathroom and is unable to get up from the floor.

5. Table 5 have complained that their main course meals are cold.

6. A group of children are chasing each other around the ballroom and disturbing some of the guests.

During this type of a role play, recruiters check your flexibility, creative thinking, ability to work in a team and take out of the box decisions quickly.
